Founded by Garima Goel & Kapil Ohri, Studio NKB is a Bangalore-based interior design firm with a mission to create spaces that inspire well-being and harmony.
Here’s how it all started.
Garima and Kapil’s journey began in the world of words. Both started as journalists—Garima as a vibrant lifestyle TV reporter at Zee Business, and Kapil as a passionate blogger who turned his love for storytelling into journalism at afaqs.com, India’s top Advertising, Media, and Marketing platform. But life had bigger plans for them.
Garima’s love for creativity took a new turn in 2014 when she found pure joy in styling their home in Gurgaon. What started as a hobby soon became a calling. She took a leap of faith, left her corporate job, and pursued a diploma in interior design from JD Institute. Meanwhile, Kapil was making waves in the world of advertising, crafting powerful brand stories at Ogilvy, GroupM (Mindshare), Arvind Fashions, and finally, Dabur—where he led the creation of over 100 brand films and 5000+ influencer marketing videos, winning national awards along the way.
While Garima honed her skills through freelance interior projects, Kapil kept climbing the corporate ladder, eventually leading marketing at Tata Business Hub. But deep down, they both longed for something more—to build something of their own, something that blended design, storytelling, and a purpose bigger than themselves.
And so, in late 2024, Studio NKB was born—a dream turned reality. Within months, they completed three exciting projects: designing an organic modern 3BHK home, transforming an old Bangalore bungalow into a vibrant Gen Z creative office, and setting up a state-of-the-art podcast studio from scratch.
Now, they are on a mission to create spaces that don’t just look beautiful, but feel right. Spaces that bring peace, joy, and well-being. Studio NKB isn’t just about interiors—it’s about stories, emotions, and transforming everyday spaces into soulful experiences.
